In Kigali, Dorothée Munyaneza and her friends never miss Samedi Détente, a popular radio show broadcasting cheerful international pop music. But in April 1994, when she was only 12 years old, Rwanda plunged headlong into the horrors of genocide. How can she talk about this barbaric event that lasted a hundred days? How can she talk about her dead friends? By taking the life force of the Samedi Détente generation that was so brutally wiped out, and giving it a body, gestures, words and song. That is the aim of this intimate counterpoint to the history books, embodied without pathos or artifice by a dancer/storyteller full of raw energy who journeys to the heart of the unspeakable, accompanied by musician Alain Mahé and Gabonese dancer Amaël Mavoungou.
